exactly how, what position needs to be eliminated taken by itself by retirement, or
use academic staff will cover all the classes that are put up what was put up for
next fall is protected. Cannot keep going year after year reduce money; it will
affect everyone on campus in some way as we go forward. STAND: Leadership
council even after budget figured out it will continue? Answer: Yes, this is how
Chancellor Leavitt will run the campus; discuss the budget the next six years but
the council will not even change after that. Titian Catholics: how quickly do you
think changes will be implemented in academic programs? Answer: It will take a
while there are positions that are being set aside so at least next year all classes
that will run are protected.

OSA 14-026
BE IT RESOLVED: That the OSA Senate and Assembly approved the following Presidential
Appointments and/or recommendations:
1. Michael Riley (alternate), Student Allocation Committee
Sponsored by: Jordan Schettle, OSA President
Dispense
Motion to move to floor, Students for Concealed Carry, 2nd by stand
Discussion: Speaker Lehto: Allocations should have taken care of this on their own voting
on grey area, for checks and balances. Point of information has nothing to OSA has no
over sight on Student Allocation Committee elections. STAND , reasons have never been
brought up for not being able to serve on it in the past and is now available. College
Republicans us holding back someone that wants to participate. Club Nipon: questions for
Michael Riley - why were you not appointed prior to this? Answer: had served on
committee last year and class schedule did not permit him to participate, he recently
dropped the class and would like to be involved and wanted to jump on board with student
allocations again. PSSA wants to apologize to Michael Riley, nothing personal but for the
interest of transparency elections were carried two weeks ago. College Republicans would
you be opposed bylaws followed certain standard and not run again or wait to be
appointed? Reginald Parson, as allocation member not Chief of Staff - read a letter from
Allocations Chair at senate and this was a simple mistake and as far as he knows
nominations will be taken March 19th we are not sure another allocation election will
occur. PSSA – to Michael Riley do you plan on running for the allocation chair position?
PSSA: Motion to table uncomfortable if a separate branch’s bylaws are not honored and
respected. Stand tabling is the same as voting no time. Did senate table? Answer: No
Senate approved him being appointed to the Allocations committee.
Motion to end debate Concealed carry, 2nd by STAND
Vote, voice passed, no objections, two abstentions (03/16/2015)
