Weather Report It never rains in Colorado – well, unless you count summer thunderstorms and spring rains that within minutes thicken and whiten into snow. But it rained yesterday, all day, droplets pattering on the roof, running down the windows, forming into puddles, occasioning umbrellas. It rained all day, the sky swollen with rain, the lawns sodden with rain, the rain of Noah’s forty days and forty nights. This morning I was shocked into awakening by – the sun! forgotten already! That surprising, startling brightness in the sky, making me think, yes, I can lose weight, yes, I can meet someone, yes, my son will find a job, yes, it will all be different now, improbably and radiantly different.
