Temple council set to approve zone change
The Temple Daily Telegram reports that the Temple City Council expects approve a zone change in south Temple,
appoint the members of the newly established Transit Advisory Committee and award a contract for a road
extension near a planned shopping center at its 5 p.m. meeting today in the Municipal Building. The zone change is
for 1.5 acres on South 5th Street from an agricultural district to a general retail district, Planning Director B.A.
Bailey said. The change, at the southwest corner of the Canyon Creek Drive and South 5th Street intersection, was
approved unanimously by the planning and zoning commission on Dec. 12
