TC begins process for student housing
The Temple Daily Telegram has announced that the Temple College board
of trustees Thursday unanimously voted to adopt a resolution requesting the
Temple Junior College Foundation to undertake the acquisition,
construction, development and operation of a student housing project on the
campus of Temple College on property leased to the foundation by the
district. The new housing project would provide apartment-style dormitories
for students opting to live on campus. The board also voted on two
additional resolutions. The first of the two authorized the execution and
delivery of a ground-lease agreement from the district to the foundation to
build the housing on the Temple College campus.
