Investigates and resolves compliance problems, questions, or complaints received from other units of the company, customers, government regulatory agencies, etc. Implements policies and procedures to ensure that these are in compliance with the appropriate statutes and regulations and that regulatory reporting requirements are met. May develop and implement programs designed to increase employee awareness and knowledge of compliance policies. May audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation. Specific Job Description: A position within the Import/Export Control function, facilitating international shipments of military aircraft production and sustainment materials. Interface with Customs Brokers, Freight Forwarders and other service providers to effectively provide import/export instructions and oversight. Assist in the identification, obtainment and execution of all required licensing and permits associated the exportation and importation of military related products. Provide regulatory guidance and oversight to company personnel on import/export issues. Act in advisory role as liaison between Core Traffic, International Trade Compliance, Procurement, Global Sustainment, Program Management and others. Responsible to monitor upcoming changes to import/export regulatory requirements and proactively develop operating plans to support compliance. Will represent Lockheed Martin compliance interests before internal tribunals, Italian Customs, Other Government Agencies (OGA) and external partners. Will audit, analyze, and document accuracy of information to ensure business practices and records are in strict adherence to Italian Customs and OGA rules and regulations. Support product classification. Maintain and conduct audits of export transactions to affirm internal controls in areas including classification, recordkeeping, value, origin, OGA, licensing, etc. Implement any necessary corrective actions to any audit findings. Will face unique challenges requiring innovative solutions which may serve as precedent for future decisions. Required Skills: Experienced with Italian export and Import regulatory requirements associated military products. Must possess a level of knowledge that allows for the establishment of robust procedures that deliver executable solutions across core functions and programs. Must have expertise in supply chain management, freight forwarding and export regulatory compliance. Ability to develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness. May require occasional travel. Must be able to read write and speak English and Italian.
