Specific Job Description: Lockheed Martin Ampthill requires Systems Engineers with strong requirements development experience to join the team working across the programme portfolio. The successful candidate will have strong front end requirements development and management experience on various sizes of programmes. They will have demonstrable experience in the decomposition, development and writing of subsystem specifications and interface control documents using DOORS 9.x or DOORS NG or other such tools. They will have experience of working in programmes using different development lifecycles including waterfall, iterative and agile. An important part of the candidates’ experience will be to demonstrate the development of solution architectures, using MODAF principals to analysis operational scenarios, system behaviour/states and modes, and how this behaviour is then translated into functional and non-functional requirements. This may have been gained by the development and use of graphical modelling notations such as UML/SysML and tools such as Sparx EA and IBM Rhapsody. Required Skills: Use of IBM toolsets such as DOORS, Rhapsody, Quality Manager, Team Concert Experience in one of the following areas; Armoured Fighting Vehicles, Air C2, Battlespace Management Systems, Ground Based Air Defence systems Generation and management of engineering Work Packages Generation of standard Systems and Software Engineering artefacts; e.g. SSRD, SRS, ICD Systems Engineering cost estimation and inputs into Basis of Estimates for proposal generation Experience of Safety Critical SW development would be advantageous Standard Job Description: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Typical Minimum Education & Experience: Ideally require a Bachelors degree from an accredited college and capability typically achieved through proven professional experience.
