To the Tax Reform Panel:
Gay couples are consistently discriminated against in the US tax code, with the result that we pay higher
taxes than heterosexual couples. This is, effectively, taxation without representation - one of the unfair
acts upon which the American Revolution was started. Gay Americans should not be forced to pay
higher taxes than heterosexuals. In the truest sense of the phrase, that is un-American.
