Journalism Group Project Rubric
Your group will create a newspaper. Since you are just starting out, your funding is small. This allows you to only print off the front page. Be audacious in your work but school appropriate of course. Below are the guidelines and your rubric. This is due May 23 rd and your group will present this to the class.
This is a major grade. Have fun and go seek out a hidden story!
Here is a guideline and check list:
What is the title of your story and where would we find it in the newspaper? Feature, editorial, local news, national news?
Your story should explain how it came to be – what did you see, hear, wonder?
Why is your story important for us to read? What’s the rationale?
List of questions
List of sources – 1 interview, 2 online, book, or magazine
What part of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights does your story illustrate?

You will turn in your list of questions that helped you write your story. These are questions that pertain to the beginning thoughts of your story, your interview, and the research done online, books, or magazines. You should have at least 10 questions.
