Internship Opportunity Available in Rep. Lois Capps’ Washington, D.C. Office The Office of Congresswoman Lois Capps (CA-24) is accepting resumes for internships in the Washington, DC office. In Washington, intern responsibilities will vary. Interns will be asked to run errands, conduct Capitol Tours, research legislation, attend hearings and briefings, and answer constituent letters on various issues before the House. As a result, interns learn a great deal about the legislative process and the many functions of a congressional office. A good candidate must demonstrate: Strong communication skills; Knowledge of current events and national issues; The ability to multi-task; A positive attitude and good work ethic; An interest in public policy.
