ANIMAL JUDGING:
Have students judge classes of four animals; live or from pictures. Live animals work best if you
have them, or if you can take a field trip to a local farm. Have the students place the animals and
answer the following questions:
Which animal is the fattest?
Which animal is the leanest?
Which animal has the most muscle?
Which animal has the least muscle?
Which animal is the most structurally sound?
Which animal is the least structurally sound?
