school indicate exceptional levels of
achievement. The highly effective principal
demonstrates mastery of the state board of
education adopted professional administrative
standards.
Effective
An Effective principal consistently meets
expectations. The school wide academic
progress data for this principal’s school indicate
satisfactory levels of achievement. The
effective principal demonstrates competency in
the state board of education adopted
professional administrative standards.
Developing
A Developing principal fails to consistently
meet expectations and requires a change in
performance. The school wide academic
progress data for this principal’s school indicate
unsatisfactory levels of academic progress. The
developing principal demonstrates an
insufficient level of competency in the state
board of education adopted professional
administrative standards. The Developing
classification may be appropriate for new or
newly reassigned principals.
Ineffective
An Ineffective principal consistently fails to
meet expectations and requires a change in
performance. The school wide academic
progress data for this principal’s school indicate
unacceptable levels of achievement. The
ineffective principal demonstrates minimal
