Mobile Vaccine Refrigeration
Team Members: Doug Clelland, Andrew Knopp, Zachary Wilson
Advisor: Dr. Case
The goal of this project is to design and build a mobile vaccine
refrigeration unit while utilizing relevant modern technologies for
off-grid systems. We aim to equip a health worker with the ability
to transport temperature sensitive vaccines and medicines
throughout multiple villages in coastal Kenya, potentially saving
many lives each year.

Key Features:
•Research to compare refrigeration technologies
•Determine what method of refrigeration is best suited
for this mobile, off-grid application
•Design and prototype of a system including sufficient
temperature insulation, durability, and heat transfer
potential within the limited power supply to maintain
vaccines at proper temperatures
