HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH PROJECT: due week of 10/26, 100 points
To celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, your group has been assigned a country to
briefly present to the class. Your presentation should be between 3 and 5 minutes. Think about 3
to 5 topics that your group finds fascinating about your country. You will be graded on your
creativity, evidence of effort, and artwork to be hung up in class.
1. presentation – discuss 3 to 5 topics that you believe the rest of the class will find interesting
about your country. You will be graded on your creativity in presenting this information and by
making it clear you did your research. Each person must speak for at least 1 minute. 10 points
3. Artwork – 10 points – creativity and effort are the keys here. If you did not do as much
research as anyone else, you are responsible for the artwork.
I reserve the right to judge whether or not I think everyone put in equal effort. The group grade
will be affected by this. If you feel someone in your group is not doing their fair share of work,
let me know as soon as possible in private.
Rubric for presentation and artwork (10 points each, 20 total):
10-8 - Exceptional, research is clearly evident, very creative in form of presentation.
7-5 - Good. It’s clear you put time and effort into this but you could have been more creative
4-2 - OK to Poor. You could have done better.
1-0 – Little or no effort
20=100, 19=95, 18=90, etc….
