Project Timelines

Interfaith Chapel at the Sanctuary/Student Assembly Center

Construction documents are continuing and should be 75% complete within 2 weeks.

Skinner-Jones Halls North and South

There have been many sessions to discuss the scope of work. A third and fourth floor is not feasible. A meeting with the consultants has been scheduled for October 6 th to discuss additional options.

4.

Aquatic Center Re-Purposing

The second GMP was received from Barton Malow and was rejected. However, they were authorized to perform selected demolition. We now have a better idea on what to expect.

Consultants were asked to complete a performance specification.

5.

Elevated Parking Deck

Construction is ongoing and there are no issues.

The project will be completed by January 1, 2015.

6.

New Aquatic Center

Program documents have been approved.

There will be a meeting on October 2 nd to review preliminary schematic designs.

Library Learning Commons

The budget has been established.

Elkins Contructors has been authorized as the CM.

Carpeting has been ordered.

Movers are now being scheduled.

8.

Physical Facilities Warehouse

The renovations are on schedule and should be completed by the end of

November. There are no issues.

Moving should commence on December 1.

Jay Coleman will follow up in identifying funding for moving Jenny Hager into the vacated space.

9.

Building 9 – 2 nd Floor

Nofa Dixon’s space was completed on August 22 nd

and is now occupied.

The space layout for the theater group is currently being discussed.

10.

Math Emporium

It has been agreed that running power and data to the new computer stations will not be problematic. The HVAC system is being evaluated as to whether it will be able to handle the increased heat load.

The furniture layout has been finalized.

11.

The Flats

The university will be closing today on the purchase of The Flats and they will be added to the space files.

12.

PECO List

The president will be meeting with the Board of Governors next week to discuss the additional money needed for Skinner Jones Hall, Building 9 renovations and the Tech Park land.
