5. Skinner-Jones Hall: Programming and Schematic Design: Programming,
Schematic Design, Feasibility Study to re-purpose this building. Program will other
buildings having related departments (Math, Engineering, Health, etc).

6. Library Learning Commons: Reconfigure First and Second Floors to create a studentcentric learning commons. Co-locate the Help Desk from Bldg. 15, and remodel
entry lobby.

Project is no longer schedule
due to scheduling issues and
technical challenges with the
turnstiles and the 3M security
gates. New completion date is
at the end of May.
7. Bldg 9 – Second Floor: Project is to create 2 temporary spaces for the Theater Group
practice as well as for Nofa Dixon to layout the tiles for the next project. CPDC
met with Jay Coleman in the space on August 4 to discuss scope of project.
Changes from last month:
Project for the theater group
is now re-activated. The
lowest bid was roughly
$52,250 and the highest was
$76,858.
8. Math Emporium: Met with Scott Hochwald to review program. There may be
limitations regarding occupancy load in the space as well as availability of data and power for
all stations expected to be in the space. Further evaluation of scope of project still ongoing.

Surplus tables from the Library
are in storage and so are 24
chairs from the Herbert Center.
Client group is re-thinking
program requirements and will
advise if there are any changes.

Religious Centers: Engage Civil Engineer to provide a feasibility study and an order of
magnitude cost for providing utility services to a grouping of four buildings.
Tentative Schedule:
NO CHANGE.

10. Athletic and Recreation Facilities: This project includes Soccer Fields, Tennis Courts,
Sand Volleyball courts and a Javelin Throw.
Athletics issued a Req. for additional fees for
JBC to complete construction documents.
Athletics will administer the construction
themselves. Construction Documents
completed. Project is now complete.
11. Department of Sculpture Move to Building 6: This building is now called the “UNF
Annex”.
A complete scope definition and anticipated costs was
forwarded to the client and the administration for
deliberation. Academic Affairs is currently funding
the electrical work needed to hook up the band saw
and the table saw since these two components serve
the current curriculum and cannot wait. Work in
bidding phase. No other work is planned until funds
are identified.
12. Office of Academic Testing: This project entails the feasibility of relocating the OAT to
Hicks Hall
Consultant was engaged to do a preliminary
layout of the space and produce an order of
magnitude cost analysis for consideration.
