The International Studies program endorses the proposal to create a new elective in Anthropology,
ANTH 6005 Communication Across Cultures. This new course could then be cross-listed with INTL 6005
Communication Across Cultures, which has been part of the MA in International Studies core curriculum
since the program was established in the late 1990’s. The course has always been taught be an
anthropologist. It employs the methodology of cultural anthropology and its content is compatible with
that of similar cultural anthropology courses.
