Biopsychosocial Treatments for Gambling Disorders

Course Description

This course will focus on incorporating a synthesis between neurobiological, behavioral, and sociological measures of analysis across the gambling spectrum, providing an overview of how a biopsychosocial model impacts gambling treatment, and providing attendees with tools needed to incorporate this model in their own clinical practice.

Presented by

Dr. Alyssa Wilson, Ph.D. BCBA-D, LBA

Dr. Wilson is an Assistant Professor and

Director of the Applied Behavior Analysis program. She is a Board Certified Behavior

Analyst and a Licensed Behavior Analyst in

Missouri. Dr. Wilson created the Saint Louis

University Gambling Addiction Research Lab, where she supervises graduate and undergraduate students on translational and clinical behavioral services for gamblers.

Learning Objectives

1. Understand a screening process with clients for gambling severity.

2. Identify common gambling related symptomology.

3. Gain knowledge of bio-behavioral components of gambling addictions.
