Supervision Refresher Course for Licensure Supervisors Friday, October 14, 2016, 9-12 pm 3 CEH’s Course Description Learning Objectives This advanced-level “refresher” course is designed for those supervisors who have completed the 16 hour course and are taking the required 3 hour course to continue as a “qualified supervisor for licensure”. There will be a review of the statutes and rules as well as key content areas and current literature on providing supervision. 1. Review the key statutes, rules, and forms regarding licensure supervisors and supervisees. 2. Refresh on new ideas for use in the supervision session including important topics such as ethics, cultural competence, professional development, and providing feedback. 3. Refresh and update on skills as a supervisor. Presented by Pamela J. Huggins, LCSW Pamela J. Huggins is an Associate Clinical Professor in the School of Social work. She began her career in direct practice and then went on to management in various hospital settings. For the last 20 years, she has worked in academia. While a part of the faculty at Indiana University and Saint Louis University, she has worked in field education and provided supervision training to field instructors. Her supervision background includes supervision of employees, licensure supervisees, students, and mentoring others doing supervision.
