Press Release Just published: “The Globalization of Chinese Firms” New edition in English of the latest study from the HEC Eurasia Institute “L’internationalisation des entreprises chinoises” Jouy-en-Josas, June 14th 2007 Huawei, Lenovo, Chery, Galanz…These Chinese companies have already started to conquer the world. Just as China is developing at an incredible pace, these new “emerging multinationals”, already champions at home, are jumping into the globalization movement without hesitation. Are these businesses competitors, partners, or saviors? What exactly are their strategies? Their intentions? Their motives? How is the Chinese government involved in this new wave of internationalization? In answering these questions the authors walk us through the situation of Chinese companies, who are more and more opening themselves up to the world. This study, one of the first of its kind in France, is the result of a massive study conducted by the French Foreign Trade Advisors seen through the prism of the expertise of the HEC Eurasia Institute. With concrete examples, this study paints a detailed picture of these companies and studies their strategic choices in order to help us to better understand the “keys” to their internationalization which has only just begun.
