Non-fiction Book Report You should select a grade-level appropriate biography, autobiography or a book about an event in history. The person or event should relate to you on a personal level (culturally, ethnically, etc.) 1. A visually appealing cover (include title, author, your name, my name, at least one picture. 2. You must submit notes for each chapter. Summary of the chapter At least one vocabulary word per chapter (include the sentence where you found the word and underline the word). Write the definition for the word, as well. 3. One to two paragraphs explaining why you selected this book and what you lessons you took from it. 4. Complete one of the following projects: Collage - create a collage using pictures of important images or objects from the person's life or event you selected. Include at least 15 pictures. On a separate sheet of paper, write a descriptive title for each picture you included in your collage Then write a sentence or two about why that picture was important. One-Scene Play - Pretend that you are going to visit this person (or if your book is about an event---select someone who is connected to that event i.e. Civil War = Lincoln) in his or her life. Write a script (1-2 pages) for a onescene play about your visit. Be sure to set the scene in a place where this person would have spent time and to include dialogue about the person's life and accomplishments.
