Diversity Collage
Create a collage showing your culture, language, hobbies, interests, or
values. You will present your poster for 1 minute. Use positive thinking and
take pride in your diverse background.
Here are some ideas for what to include on the poster:
 Where were you parents and grandparents born?
 What languages do you speak?
 Include a map of the country or countries your relatives are originally from.
 Give any interesting facts about those countries. You can include a picture of the
flag of the countries and explain what each color and symbol represent.
 What traditional foods does your family eat?
 What cultural traditions, customs, or habits are still practiced by the family?
 What interesting tales or folklore are associated with your culture?
 Describe popular music, fashion, movies, or celebrities related to your culture.
 If you have any family heirlooms, please feel free to include/describe them.
 You can also create a family tree that traces your family back for generations.
 Use positive thinking to show what you are proud of in your life.
 What is your favorite thing about your culture growing up?
You will be sharing the collage with the group, so please do not include anything that
you do not wish to share.
Use may use any medium to create your collage. You can draw, color, paint, or print out
personal photos, or pictures from the internet. Have fun!
