Prerequisite: FIN 3331. Objectives On completion of the course, the student should be able to: 1. Demonstrate fundamental knowledge of real-estate principles, law, appraisal, finance, brokerage, and mathematics. 2. Describe how real-estate principles, law, appraisal, finance, brokerage, and mathematics relate to the procedures and operations of real-estate mortgage markets. 3. Describe the procedures and operations of real-estate mortgage markets, institutions, and instruments. Purpose To provide an overview of the field of real estate in general with emphasis on real-estate finance. This is an excellent elective for anyone seeking familiarity with the important areas of real estate and real-estate finance for purposes of business management or personal financial planning.
