Myths often included gods to explain the creation of things. Myths explained natural phenomena. Where could this story have taken place? How could this story have originated? Who are the main characters? Where do the main scenes take place? You may choose from the following topics or create one of your own. 1. Why elephants are afraid of mice. 2. Why land turtles are slow. 3. Why dogs chase their tails. 4. Why it thunders when it rains. 5. Why the lion is the king of the forest. 6. Why turtles have a shell. 7. Why dogs and cats do not get along. 8. Why giraffes have long necks. 9. Why zebras have stripes. 10. Why the sun sets and rises. REQUIREMENTS You will create a PowerPoint demonstrating your myth or legend. You will present your myth or legend to the class. Your PowerPoint may contain key words but must not have a script. I want you to speak, not read. Your PowerPoint must be a minimum of 8 slides. Your presentation can take place in the form of a play or it can be a narrative.
