Who are the Chinese?
The following is part of the lyrics1 of a song (in English translation, the Chinese
version is in the footnote) about the Chinese. Do you know how to sing it?

A citizen of a country is one who is legally accepted as belonging to that country.
The citizen enjoys rights and bears responsibilities in the country.
Although most of us are Chinese citizens living in the HKSAR, there are some
differences between us and our fellow Chinese citizens living on the mainland in
terms of rights and responsibilities because of the arrangement under the
principle6 of “One Country, Two Systems”.

terms of responsibilities.

on each school day. It is also required by law that all primary and secondary schools
hold a national flag hoisting ceremony7 each week.
