BIOLOGY PLACEMENT EXAM REVIEW SHEET
The Biology P lacement Exam is intended to assess the student’s knowledge of basic biological concepts and facts. A student who has recently completed (within 3 months) high school biology would reasonably be expected to successfully complete the exam.
A student who took high school biology more than 3 months previously should review the material before taking the exam. HOWEVER, REVIEW WOULD ALSO BE
BENEFICIAL FOR THE RECENT HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE. Any college level introductory biology text is adequate for review.
The exam is 50 multiple choice questions. A score of 70% (35 correct questions out of
50 questions) is needed to PASS the exam. The exam covers the 5 areas of knowledge listed below:
