Here, we would like to remind schools again to closely follow up on the spending progress and to use the Fund to aid the needy students as many as possible. A report form and a sample of it are attached for your action. Schools are requested to return the completed report to EDB by fax on or before 17 September, 2012. The funding support comes to a close by end of August and all expenditures for the prescribed purpose on or before 31 August 2012 could be included in the report. For any amount unspent, government, private or ‘closing’ schools need to await our follow-up advice and then return it by cross cheque; for other schools with amount unspent, EDB will deduct the amount from their school accounts directly. For enquiries, please contact the Life-wide Learning and Library Section of the Curriculum Development Institute at 2892 5881 or 3540 7436. Yours sincerely, (Stephen YW Yip) for Secretary for Education Encl.: HK Jockey Club LWL Fund: A sample and a report form (2011/12) The softcopy of this letter and report can be downloaded at the following locations: http://www.edb.gov.hk/FileManager/EN/Content_3153/annualreportform_1112_e.doc (English version) http://www.edb.gov.hk/FileManager/TC/Content_3153/annualreportform_1112_c.doc (中文版) 網址: http://www.edb.gov.hk Website: http://www.edb.gov.hk 電子郵件: edbinfo@edb.gov.hk E-mail: edbinfo@edb.gov.hk Annex (1) The Hong Kong Jockey Club Life-wide Learning Fund: Annual Activity Report (2011/12) Please return the completed Annual Activity Report by fax on or before 17 September 2012 to: Life-wide Learning and Library Section, Curriculum Development Institute Fax no: 2892 6428 Name of School: Life-wide Learning School A) Summary of expenditures 2011/12 Allocation Sample School Code: 123456 Treasury Code: 5678 Provided by EDB, verified by school 2011/12 Expenditures $ 22, 000 2011/12 Unspent amount (This amount is to be returned to EDB) (1) $ 20, 350 $1, 650 Remark (1): Regarding unspent amounts, (a) government, private and closing schools need to take our follow-up advice and then to pay the returnable amount by cheque, (b) but for other schools, the returnable amount would be deducted from school account directly by EDB.
