The Hong Kong Jockey Club Life-wide Learning Fund
Annual Activity Report (2009/10)
As in the past, schools are requested to submit the report of the Captioned Fund to the
Education Bureau (EDB) at the end of the school year. Here, we would like to remind schools
again to closely check the spending progress and to use the unspent fund to aid the needy students
as many as possible.
This year the report form has been revised. The aim is to ease schools to clear their
accounts and schools are thus more able to report back the data concerning beneficiary students of
different levels. In this regard, a sample and a report form are attached for action. Schools are
requested to return the completed report to EDB by fax on or before 16 September, 2010.
The funding support comes to a close by end of August and all expenditures for the
prescribed purpose on or before 31 August 2010 could be included in the report. Government,
private or ‘closing’ schools with fund unspent need to await our follow-up advice and then return
the amount by cross cheque; but for other schools, no cross cheque is required as EDB will deduct
the amount from their school accounts directly.
