POSITION: Music Theory – Part-time temporary lecturer.
DATE OF APPOINTMENT: August 15, 2016.
DUTIES: Teach music theory to majors and minors. Position involves the written component of
Theory II and IV, and the written/aural content of a Graduate Review course. Sabbatical replacement for the Fall 2016 semester.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree required, doctorate or ABD in music theory preferred. Successful teaching experience at the university level. Ability to relate well with students and faculty in a collegial regional institution within an environment of shared governance is essential.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT: Four-month appointment at rank of lecturer. Contingent upon funding.
BACKGROUND CHECK: A criminal background check is required.
