Position Responsibilities: The graduate program in the Department of Engineering Technology at
Pittsburg State University is accepting applications for a full-time, non-tenure earning position in the
Master of Engineering Technology program, http://www.pittstate.edu/department/engineeringtech/graduate-program/ . The graduate program consists of 60-70 majors with areas of emphasis in
Construction, Electronics, Manufacturing, Mechanical, and Plastics. The program is offered as an oncampus program and an on-line program and includes domestic and international students. The successful
candidate for this position will be expected to: 1) teach a minimum of three graduate courses each
semester, either on-campus or on-line, 2) work with the appropriate departmental administrator on course
scheduling, planning, and assessment, 3) coordinate student projects and special studies activities, 4)
participate in graduate student recruitment, registration, and placement, 5) demonstrate competency in
applying “real-world” solutions to industrial challenges, and 6) support other activities of the Engineering
Technology Department, the College of Technology, and Pittsburg State University.
Minimum Requirements: An ideal candidate will: • Have a masters level degree in engineering
technology, engineering, or engineering management. • Have relevant industrial experience; student
internships or industry recognized certifications are acceptable. • Be qualified experientially and/or
academically in one of PSU’s Engineering Technology disciplines (Construction, Electronics,
Manufacturing, Mechanical, Plastics)
