The objectives of the activity
 Helping students to translate the sentences from English to
Arabic.
 Improving cooperation and participation between students.
 Building a rapport between the instructor and her students.
 Revise the grammar and mechanics of writing.
Procedures of the activity
Individual Activity
 I gave students a passage on " trees" and asked them to translate
it at home.
Trees are useful to us. They give us
timber and firewood. The timber is used to
make chairs, tables and other furniture. We get
oil from the oil seeds of some trees. The leaves
and fruits of some trees are used to prepare
medicines.
Group Activity
 Then, at the beginning of the lecture, I began to write one
sentence by one until the passage is completed.
 I asked students to come and translate it on the board.
 While translating, I revised the tenses, subject verb agreement,
spelling and writing mechanics.

Food is essential for all living beings. Without food man cannot
live long. Every man has to eat a certain quantity of food. If he eats less
than that quantity, his health will fail and he will fall ill. So every man
has to eat enough food to live.
Group Activity
