Procedures of the activity Individual Activity I gave students a passage on " trees" and asked them to translate it at home. Trees are useful to us. They give us timber and firewood. The timber is used to make chairs, tables and other furniture. We get oil from the oil seeds of some trees. The leaves and fruits of some trees are used to prepare medicines. Group Activity Then, at the beginning of the lecture, I began to write one sentence by one until the passage is completed. I asked students to come and translate it on the board.
