Translation (118) is both practical and introductory in nature. Course Objectives: 1. Introducing the student to the concept of translation from English to Arabic as a process of problem solving; 2. Enhancing the student's familiarity with English usage and sentence structure; 3. Informing the student of the contrasts between Arabic and English in usage and sentence structurethus attempting to achieve both the practical and introductory objectives of this course and; 4. Correcting use of a monolingual dictionary. a) Attendance (no more than 3 absences are allowed), b) Participation, c) Requirements: Assignments, and d) Taking the midterm and final exams.
