Proposal to withdraw pathway from sole delivery site Cambridge
It was decided to withdraw this pathway in April 2011 due to low
enrolment figures
The pathway is currently suspended and not advertised as available
for 2012-13 intake
A small number of students will be taught to completion
With effect from September 2012
Proposal to remove part-time delivery mode at sole delivery site
Cambridge
The pathway has not been available for part-time delivery since the
Periodic Review of 2009
No impact on students – no current part-time cohort
With immediate effect
Proposal to withdraw pathway at Cambridge and Aegean Omiros,
Greece (to continue at UCP and UCWA)
Proposal is due to a steady decline in student numbers, student
satisfaction on the pathway split across two faculties and gains in
curriculum efficiency can be made

transfer responsibility for the pathway from the Interprofessional
Learning programme to the Allied Health programme in the same

Distance learning will be offered on two modules already approved for
distance learning delivery
The subject specialism sits better within Allied Health and will even

Proposal to change department responsibility for module EB230021S
Project Management and Finance
Module has been archived by Built Environment in FST, proposal is to
move this to Family and Community Studies in FHSCE to be taught
on the FdSc Management of Social and Affordable Housing
No impact on students – first delivery of module on this pathway will
be January 2013
With effect from September 2012 – proposal submitted for Chair’s
action in anticipation of a change to External Examiners
Proposal to offer pathway by full-time at core Chelmsford and four of
the five associate colleges, University Centre Peterborough,
Cambridge Regional College and Huntingdonshire Regional College
Pathway is currently validated for part-time, distance learning and only
full-time through Higher Skills @ Work
University Centre Harlow is already validated to deliver the full-time
mode, University Centre West Anglia is not included in this proposal
The full-time route will be delivered over two years by blended
learning/ distance learning/ face-to-face delivery
No impact on students – apply to new intakes

to retain the current three year BSc (Hons) Ophthalmic Dispensing
A previous change to the pathway title was agreed resulting from the
April 2011 re-approval event when two pathways were streamlined
into one the pathway of the current title
Proposal intended to meet widening participation agenda and allow
foundation science students to enrol on the pathway
The entry tariff for the 4-year extended course will be 40 UCAS points
similar to the other 4-year extended courses within the faculty
No impact on students – applies to new intake only
