Student Advisory Council – Technology/Student Services, Andrea Stalker
- SAC wants at least 2 GSG members on the SAC Tech/Student Services board. Will work closely
with next year’s group and include Amanda in emails.

2014-2015 Budget Proposal

- Several cuts and adjustments made per budgetary needs. Jason motions, Rachel seconds.
Budget passes.

Student Association of Graduate Anthropologists, Melissa Goldberg and Shannon Landry

-new GSO
- looking to create and facilitate communication between students and administration, as well
as between students in the department. They have submitted the bylaws and constitution. Susan
motions, Jason seconds. Unanimously passes. They are now a GSO.

Bylaws amendment

- Issues with language in the bylaws. Agreed to pass by-laws as-is and have next year’s group take
over responsibility for amending the language. Amendment passes.

Committees: purposes, continuing projects, and updates
- Advocacy: no current updates
- PR: Newsletter initiative, collaboration with ASNAU, Facebook and social media
- Reaching out to people in other programs, monthly social activities
- Services & Allocations: Travel Awards applications. Had over 400 applications this year.

New members asked to pick committees they are potentially interested in working with. Dena
informed the group what university-wide committees are available for GSG members.
- Mark is interested in working with PR, Social, & Services and Allocations. He’s interested in
chairing social.

- Rya is interested in working with services & allocations
