This internship with SCIPP was a great experience. My chosen field is paleontology,
which deals only slightly with physics, but I was able to broaden my horizons a lot. I
learned a lot this summer, I have not taken a physics class yet and I can lecture my
friends one modern particle physics that have taken the class. And a lot of things I
learned in this experience you can’t quite put your finger on, but you know it’s there. I
am very thankful to everyone at SCIPP and COSMOS/PTP and Quarknet for making this
a great adventure. And I highly suggest to anyone to take an opportunity like this and
make the most of it.
