Dear residents around the Pagan Volcano, Due to increased volcanic activity in your area you are receiving this brochure to warn you about the effects of living near volcanos. There is no need to worry as of yet about the volcano erupting but it is an active volcano which could erupt. Being as Pagan Volcano is in on an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean its hazards can include tsunami if it were to generate a large enough earthquake, gases, lava flows (a lava river), and ash flows (an ash cloud created by the volcano that can cover miles of area with ash). The most probable hazard to impact your community is the gases released by the volcano which can carry on for miles and kill crops and possibly destroy drinking supplies. There is no way to prevent this from happening. You can only prepare for this by stocking up enough food until you can recover from the environmental effects of the volcano erupting. The last time this volcano erupted was in 2012 and the environmental effects were not monumental, however be prepared for the worst case scenario. We recommend you stock up on canned foods and water as well as electrical supplies such as batteries in case of the worst possible scenario. Thank you for your time
