The goal of CCC is to serve the Chinese community in the Capital District and friends who are interested in Chinese culture, language, and people. CCC sponsors Chinese Language School for anyone interested in learning the Chinese language, organizes social, cultural and recreational activities for the members, promotes Chinese culture, and serves the communities in need of help. The hundreds of graduates learned to appreciate their Chinese heritage for life and gained a solid foundation for the Chinese language and culture. The current student enrollment is 147. There are sixteen classes from pre-school to the 8th grade. There is also one class for adult students. The Chinese Language School rents classrooms and a gym at Shaker Junior High School in Latham for three hours every Sunday afternoon during the regular school year. Students learn language, history, culture and literature in the first two hours. The third hour is for extra-curricular activities.
