Call to Order/Welcome
Walter Mendez (I.C.C. President) called the meeting to order at 1:00pm. Quorum was
established.

A. Approval of the minutes of October 8th & 15th were tabled until the next meeting.

A. Club Announcements
1. Anthropology Club – Damaris Olaechea
 Meetings: Thursdays, 1-2pm, ARTB 324

Events: Anthropology Museum.
Day of the Dead on Oct 28th: Offers lots of information and interactions
with the afterlife. Mexican hot-chocolate and snacks are available.
2. Alpha Gamma Sigma – Ashley Sladek
 Meetings: 1st & 3rd Tuesdays – first meeting next Tuesday
 Events: Car Wash: Oct. 25th for $5. Money goes for scholarships.
3. KECC – Jeff Marvan

Reports
A. Officer Reports
1. Review Board – status of new clubs – Janice Watanabe for Michelle Rahim

a) Vision 218 Club - The Review Board met and reviewed the constitution of
Vision 218. The constitution and petition were in order.
b) Asian Club – The club reps decided to change the club’s purpose and will
re-submit their constitution for review and approval.
2. Finance – Igor Letitchevski
a) Budget request was made by Anthropology Club for up to $800.
b) Budget request was made by Society of Music for fall concert for $1000.
3. C.C.C.S.A.A. Student Leadership Conference
a) Brandon Davis- The Conference consisted of Meetings, motions, Icebreakers, and even a hypnotist. It was a lot of fun.
B. Adviser Report – Janice Watanabe
1. Bake Sale Fundraisers – Last semester I.C.C. discussed the issue of clubs
sponsoring bake sales on the same day and I.C.C. recommended that the first
club that turned in their completed paperwork for a bake sale would have the
bake sale on that day unless the sponsoring club agreed to the competition.
The following are bake sales that have been approved on the Library Lawn:
a) 10/28 – Concert Choir and Chorale BBQ & Bake Sale from 11:30-2pm
b) 10/29 – MSA Bake Sale from 10am-1pm
c) 10/29 – African American Students Society Bake Sale from 1-2:30pm
d) 10/30 – Future Educators Bake Sale from 11:30-2pm
e) 11/13 – Anthropology & History Club Bake Sale, time tbd
VI.
Business Items :
A. Approval of New Club – Janice Watanabe for Michelle Rahim
1. Vision 218 Club – as reported previously, the Review Board recommended
the club for approval by I.C.C. Kevin Rosa from the club discussed the club’s
purpose.
 It was moved by Anthropology Club and seconded by Science Club to
approve the Vision 218 Club. Motion passed.
B. Approval of Finance Committee Recommendations – Igor Letitchevski
1. Anthropology Club Research Symposium – Damaris Olaechea presented the
club’s request for funding for prizes for the club’s upcoming research
symposium.
 It was moved by A.G.S. and seconded by History Club to approve of up
to $800 from ICC Club Support Account #836515 for monetary prizes
awarded to students at the Anthropology Research Symposium to be held
in the Spring 2009 semester. Motion passed.
2. ECC Society of Music Concert – Igor Letitchevski explained that the club was
unable to schedule the Campus Theater for their previously scheduled
fundraiser on November 14th. Now that concert will be held on December
14th in the Campus Theater the club submitted to I.C.C. another request for
funding on that date and the I.C.C. Finance Committee discussed and
recommended funding $500 with an additional amount of matching funds up
to $500 to be approved in November depending on the club’s fundraising
efforts.
 It was moved by Rotaract and seconded by Anthropology to approve
$500 from I.C.C. Club Support account #836515 for staffing for the
club’s concert in the Campus Theater on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008. Motion
passed.
VII.
Information Items

1. Review of Homecoming activities – 24 days until Homecoming! Queen/King
candidate applications are due on Friday October 31st!
2. Club participation highly encouraged. Volunteers are needed to help set-up
and decorate.
B. I.C.C. Children’s Holiday Party – Brandon Davis and Ana Safazada
1. Has not yet been discussed. Lots of volunteers needed with the set-up
committee to help decorate, wrap gifts, and shop for the children’s toys.
2. Please attend the event even if it’s the week of finals, for it’s for a great cause
to help the children in need.
VIII. Next I.C.C. Meetings
A. Cabinet and Finance Committee Meeting – Monday, October 27th at 12pm in the
I.C.C. Office. Club Budget Requests for approval at the next I.C.C. meeting are due
on Friday, October 24th (see ICC Club Budget Request Procedures)
B. General Meeting – Wed., October 29th at 12pm in Cafeteria Stadium Room
IX.
Open Discussion
A. Igor Letitchevski: Budget for Fall is $2150 and for spring $2700.

Adjournment
 It was moved by Environmental Club and seconded by FDLA to adjourn the
meeting. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 12:04.
