Call to Order/Welcome President Ana Safazada called the meeting to order at 12:05pm and welcomed everyone. Quorum was established. II. Roll Call – I.C.C. Meeting on December 9, 2009 Motion made by Alpha Gamma Sigma to approve the minutes of December 9, 2009. Seconded by the El Camino College Republicans. Motion passed. IV. Announcements and Introductions A. Club Announcements Club reps introduced themselves and announced their club meeting times and upcoming events. V. Reports A. Officer Reports 1. I.C.C. Cabinet Vacancies – if you’re interested in a position on the cabinet, please contact Ana Safazada after the meeting 2. I.C.C. Review Board – J. Watanabe a) New proposed clubs (paperwork incomplete – constitutions pending review): Women In Technology and Students Without Borders VI. Business Items A. Nominations/Election to fill the vacancy of I.C.C. Vice President 1. Nominations for Vice President were: Damien McDowell and Usama Ehsan 2. The voting will take place at the next meeting Page 1 of 3 B. Approval of Cabinet Appointments 1. The President appointed Nicholas Mitchell as I.C.C. Commissioner of Finance for the remainder of the term Spring, 2010 Motion made by Science Club to ratify the appointment of Nicholas Mitchell as I.C.C. Finance Commissioner. Seconded by Alpha Gamma Sigma. Motion passed. 2. The President appointed Ryanchase Balthazar as I.C.C. Commissioner of Activities for the remainder of the term Spring 2010 Motion made by Hip Hop Club to ratify the appointment of Ryanchase Balthazar as I.C.C. Activities Commissioner. Seconded by College Republicans. Motion passed. 3. The President appointed Raven Sevilleja as I.C.C. Senate Rep for the remainder of the term Spring 2010. Motion made by College Republicans to ratify the appointment of Raven Sevilleja as I.C.C. Senate Rep. Seconded by Puente Club. Motion passed. C. Approval of Rescheduling Spring Games from April 23rd to April 30th Motion made Hip Hop Club to reschedule the Spring Games 2010 on April 30th. Seconded by M.S.A. Motion passed. D. Approval of Cancellation of International Month activity on May 6th Motion made Philosophy Club to cancel the International Month activity on May 6, 2010. Seconded by Science Club. Motion passed. VII. Information Items A. I.C.C. Club Rush – March 1st thru 4th from 10am-2pm on Library Lawn 1. Turn in Club Rush participation form by Friday to reserve a table 2. Set up tables between 8-10am B. I.C.C. Club Mixer – March 12th from 12noon-2pm in Act. Center West Lounge 1. Theme: International 2. Description: Clubs mingle, play games, have fun, refreshments C. I.C.C. Bloodmobile – March 30th, 31st and April 1st in Act. Center West Lounge 1. Fliers will be distributed next week 2. Kim Davis from the American Red Cross will give a presentation about the blood drive at the meeting on March 10th. D. I.C.C. Spring Activity - “Loathing in Las Vegas” – Philip Stokes, Ana Safazada 1. Will be held in Marsee Auditorium Lobby and Patio 2. Social Event with Vegas theme, DJ, dancing, refreshments, talent show & gaming 3. Philip Stokes report a) Publicity needed to all clubs and students, sample fliers and handouts were circulated b) Sell advance tickets c) Nick and Phil will be in charge of volunteers – 41 volunteers needed d) Ask clubs to help us out e) Volunteers needed during and after the event – will send invitation f) Volunteer duties include: dealers, patrol/security, chip exchange, mocktail bar/refreshments, servers – contact Nick and Phil g) VIP tickets include free drinks 4. Ana Safazada report a) Talent show auditions on March 8 & 10 from 2-5pm b) Email: icc.cabinet@gmail.com if interested 5. Upcoming I.C.C. Meetings A. Next Cabinet and Finance Committee Meeting – Monday, March 1, 2010 at 12:00noon in the I.C.C. Office. Club budget requests are due Friday, February 26th for items to be approved at the next I.C.C. meeting. (See ICC Club Budget Request Procedures). B.
