Resolution 13-13: A Resolution to Allow Proxies to Vote

WHEREAS, The By-laws state that no proxy votes shall be permitted; and

WHEREAS, Proxies being unable to vote prevents all student voices to be heard; now,

therefore, be it

RESOLVED, By the Student Government of Wright State University here
assembled, that:
(1) Article XX Section A of the By-laws be amended to say: “Only one (1)
vote shall be held by each member of the Senate. This vote may be cast as
10
yes, no, or abstain. Proxies are permitted to vote. No email or vote in
11
advance shall be permitted. Abstentions from voting shall mean ‘present
12
and not voting’ and shall not count as part of the total number of votes.”
