Reasons for this curriculum action:
One of four selected upper division courses for the Proposed baccalaureate degree in Applied Business and Information
Technology (ABIT). ACC 300, Intermediate Financial Accounting I, satisfies the business core requirements at nearly
all baccalaureate institutions. It is currently taught at UH Manoa, UH Hilo, and UHWO and was chosen as one of the
first course offerings because it should be easily transferable to satisfy a business core requirement at these and other
schools even if the ABIT degree does not materialize. MCC currently has staff capable of teaching this course.
