The person seeking credit in this unit standard will be supplied with a design brief by
the director or tutor. The brief will be limited to performance text production
guidelines, venue, budget; but it should allow for creative input.

and teaching in this unit standard.

Definitions
Performance text refers to performance material which may include written, visual,
oral, or combination(s).
Theatre refers to performance space which may be within traditional theatre
structures or alternative venue.
Problems refer to creative challenges and limitations contained in brief.
Agreed production idea is an agreement regarding ideas between at least the
designer and tutor/director.
