People credited with this unit standard are able to write instructions for the manual covering the operation and maintenance of irrigation systems in accordance with design specifications, component requirements, and the Irrigation Design Code of Practice. Range 1.4 Instructions provided specify system management to mitigate risk under extreme environmental conditions. Range 1.5 includes but is not limited to – high velocity winds, flooding, lightning, sub-optimal water supply (flow, pressure, turbidity), contaminants.
