Outcome 2
Manufacture special laminated pressings.
Evidence requirements
2.1
The special pressings are identified from working drawings and job
specifications.
2.2
The quantity of material needed, including adhesives and attachments, is
calculated, and an order placed, in accordance with workplace practices.
2.3
Templates are used to ensure job specifications are met, where required, in
accordance with workplace practices.
2.4
The substrate is set-out, machined and prepared in accordance with working
drawings and job specifications.
2.5
The press is set up in accordance with workplace practices and manufacturer’s
specifications.
2.6
Adhesive is applied and the laminate is pressed to the substrate in accordance
with manufacturer’s specifications.
2.7
Trimming, finishing and edging is completed in accordance with working
drawings and job specifications.
2.8
Attachments are fitted to the pressing in accordance with manufacturer’s
specifications.
