Evidence requirements 1.1 Production planning of workplace resources is carried out in accordance with job specifications. Range 1.2 equipment availability and capacity, labour availability, substrates, materials and other requirements. Jobs are routed through the workplace to achieve maximum efficiency of resource utilisation in accordance with the requirements of the job specifications. Range job specifications, materials requisitions, ancillary processes required, completion times. 1.6 Work-in-progress is monitored in terms of planned production schedules. 1.7 Production planning board or system is used for scheduling work in accordance with company procedures. Evidence requirements 2.1 Equipment capacity utilisation is monitored in accordance with company procedures. Range 2.2 Inventory control is monitored to ensure availability of substrates, materials, and other supplies. Range 2.3 under and/or over utilisation, co-ordination of labour resources to meet demands. movements in stock levels (receipts, issues, wastage, loss). Effectiveness of purchasing and supply of materials and outside services is monitored. Range delivery performance, quality, quantity. 2.4 The achievement of quality standards and procedures is monitored in accordance with company procedures and job specifications. 2.5 Scheduled downtime and maintenance programmes are allowed for and monitored in relation to production planning. This unit standard is expiring. Assessment against the standard must take place by the last date for assessment set out below.
