Machinery referred to in this unit standard includes but is not limited to – laminate
forming machine, nip roller, heated press, horizontal sander, glue spreader.

Demonstrate knowledge of setting up fixed joinery machinery for laminated fabrication.
Evidence requirements
1.1
The process for setting up fixed joinery machinery is identified and
demonstrated in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications and workplace
practices.
1.2
The process for making jigs and templates is identified and demonstrated in
accordance with given job specifications and workplace practices.
Range
evidence is required of three different examples.

Types of fixed joinery machinery used in laminated fabrication are identified and
described in terms of their purpose.
Range
2.2

accordance with given job specifications and workplace practices.

material.
