Documentation of investigation outcomes recommends status for the feature, and conforms with specified standard for terminology and presentation. element 2 Implement protection and maintenance plans for features in horticulture. performance criteria 2.1 Focus of plans for maintenance and protection of a feature is on retention of characteristics which determined the status of the feature. 2.2 Methods used in development of plans for maintenance and protection enable application of accepted criteria in their evaluation. Range: cost-effectiveness, retention of characteristics, level of protection related to desirable access levels, practical considerations in relation to desirable aesthetic requirements, provision for record keeping. 2.3 Interpretation and implementation of the plan can be readily achieved by those qualified to do the work. 2.4 Implementation of plan is cost-efficient, provides planned level of protection and maintenance, and regularly reviewed progress towards defined targets enables revision of implementation as required.
