requirements. They may be manuals, manufacturer’s specifications, or policy
statements.
3
End-user refers to a client or a following process.
Outcomes and evidence requirements
Outcome 1
Select product parameters that confirm product quality, and establish parameter
tolerances for an apparel or textile product.
Range
end-user expectation will be defined by the product specification, but may also
include industry or national grading or labelling schemes.
Evidence requirements

Evidence requirements
2.1
Tests are identified for each parameter, and the testing procedure is
documented.
Range
test methods will be undertaken against nationally or industry
recognised standards.
2.2
Sampling procedures are established to ensure that product tested is
representative of the whole product lot or batch.
2.3
Draft testing plan is documented for use in production according to company
procedures.
Outcome 3
Validate draft testing plan and document quality specification for an apparel or textile
product.
Evidence requirements
3.1
Product is tested according to draft testing plan.
3.2
Testing results are evaluated and testing plan is confirmed or modified.
3.3
Quality specification is documented in accordance with company procedures.

Please note
Providers must be granted consent to assess against standards (accredited) by NZQA,
before they can report credits from assessment against unit standards or deliver courses
of study leading to that assessment.
Industry Training Organisations must be granted consent to assess against standards by
NZQA before they can register credits from assessment against unit standards.
Providers and Industry Training Organisations, which have been granted consent and
which are assessing against unit standards must engage with the moderation system that
applies to those standards.
Requirements for consent to assess and an outline of the moderation system that applies
to this standard are outlined in the Consent and Moderation Requirements (CMR). The
CMR also includes useful information about special requirements for organisations wishing
to develop education and training programmes, such as minimum qualifications for tutors
and assessors, and special resource requirements.
