Purpose
This unit standard is for people working in the textile industry.
People credited with this unit standard are able to: identify
yarns; receive yarn into store; store yarn; distribute yarn to
production; and maintain storage and distribution records.

1
Plant safety practices and procedures comply with Health and Safety in Employment
(HSE) Act 1992, and workplace procedures.

Unit 10852, Operate a powered industrial lift truck (PILT) fitted with attachments on a
worksite, or can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills.
