Purpose
This unit standard is for people who work in the industrial textile
fabrication industry. People credited with this unit standard are
able to: fit reinforcements; and select and fit attachments, used
in the industrial textile fabrication industry.

Definition
Company requirements refer to instructions to staff on policy and procedures which
are documented in memo or manual format and are available in the workplace.
These requirements include but are not limited to – company specifications and
procedures, work instructions, manufacturer specifications, product quality
specifications, and legislative requirements.

Area where reinforcements are to be fitted is identified in accordance with job
and manufacturer specifications.

accordance with the manufacturer specifications.

Ropes are attached as specified by customer and in accordance with company
requirements.

Evidence requirements
2.1
Fasteners and fittings are selected in accordance with job and manufacturer
specifications.
2.2
Fasteners and fittings are attached to the product at the workplace required
speed in accordance with job and manufacturer specifications.
2.3
Attachment of fasteners and fittings conform to company requirements and
manufacturer specifications.
2.4
Safe working practices are carried out throughout the task in accordance with
legislative requirements.
