Performance criteria 1.1 Selection of sale animals is based on personal situation and market requirements. 1.2 Preparation of deer for sale matches the requirements of the market. 1.3 Arrangements for deer leaving property are in accordance with movement control regulations, Animal Status Declarations (ASD), National Animal Identification and Tracing (NAIT) project requirements, and the Animal Welfare (Deer) Code of Welfare 2007. 1.4 Deer are transported in accordance with NAWAC guidelines, DeerQA Transport Programme Operating Standards, and the Animal Welfare (Deer) Code of Welfare 2007. Element 2 Purchase deer. Performance criteria 2.1 Deer identified for purchase match farming objectives and DeerQA On-Farm Programme Operating Standards. 2.2 Method of purchase is in accordance with type of animal required. Range may include – public auction, private treaty, stock agent, contract supply. 2.3 Movement control regulations are met for deer entering the property. 2.4 Deer are transported in accordance with NAWAC guidelines, and DeerQA Transport Programme Operating Standards.
